Cosplay Props

One of the things that makes a cosplay work are the props used. Now not all cosplays need a prop to make it work or noticeable. First think about what cosplay you intend to do before making or buying props because some characters have different appearances and props depending who they are and if they are a alternate version of a known character That is always key. If you're doing Castiel from supernatural for example, having angel wings/angel blade or even his FBI badge are great extra items to use for that particular cosplay. However those props aren't needed but will help in bringing that character to life and help better express the characters traits. Other cosplays like any Yu-Gi-Oh duelist would require a duel disc toy/prop and some cards. Remember props will definitely help but are not always a requirement. Think of the character you want to cosplay and remember if they use or require any props. Doing your homework on your characters cosplay will give you a huge advantage. It doesn't matter if you buy them from a store or make them from cardboard/fiberglass or any other material. Always be creative!
