New York Comic Con is the biggest comic book convention on the east coast. Held every October at the Jacob V. Javits center in Manhattan NY, NYCC brings together all kinds of people to serve whatever needs they might want. If you're there to promote your business, cosplay, shop for toys or exclusive merchandise, attend a celebrity panel or just to have your favorite actor/actress give an autograph, NYCC has just about everything you need. By far NYCC has thousands in attendance every year with all sorts of things to do. The artist alley is huge! You will be spending at least 2 hours just to see everything there is to see and offer so just a heads up. Now that's just the artist alley...the dealers area is much bigger! at least twice the size of the artist alley. You need need a few hours just to see what all the vendors have to offer you..yes its that huge..why? That's the place where all the NYCC exclusive merchandise is located. Now not all vendors will have them so be on the look out. You will also find some guests signing autographs at booths so check the program guide to see who and where they will be.
In addition, downstairs is where the celebrity signing is held. Most of the guests will be there to sign and take pictures so get on line asap. Guests will also do photo ops so make sure if that's what you want to check the schedule of the guest you want to see. As always some guests will do panels and ONLY panels so if you want your chance to see them or ask questions that's the time. Some conventions will do group photos of certian franchises like a DC photo shoot or Rick & Morty depending on whats available or what they choose to do. So be on the look out for those events. Also NYCC has the usual table top gaming for games like D&D, card and TCG areas for Cards Against Humanity and Yu-Gi-Oh, video games, tournaments and contests so make sure you know when and where these events are being held.
It's also the place where can freely take pictures of other cosplayers (with permission) and enjoy the company of fellow con goers. NYCC is a great place to go with family and friends as well as make new friends as well. Definitely a con worth going to. NYCC gets a 10/10

Undiscovered Realm Comic Con is now in its 4th year!. One of the smaller conventions there still being plenty to do. Located in White Plains, NY in the Westchester County Center the convention has grown quite a bit. In it's first year it was in a very small area of the center. However the following year was moved to a bigger room. Due to the larger crowd and more vendors available they were able to expand which is a very good sign. Just like other conventions you have special guest attending, panels, video game and table top gaming and photo ops so you wont be bored here. What I do like most about this convention is their cosplay contest. I believe it to be very well organized and less cluttered like some conventions can be. The judges are fair and provide a comforting experience to all who attend whether or not they favor your cosplay in their judging. Undiscovered Realm gets a 7/10. It's perfect to those who are starting out into attending comic conventions.

This convention is AWESOME!! Literally! Held every year in the nation's capital of Washington DC in March. I will admit for some this will be out of the way. For me is was a 5 hour drive but totally worth it. The convention center is both beautiful and huge! The main dealer room looked like the Jedi Temple...how much better does that get? With tons of vendors that have their own exclusive merchandise to the various artist promoting their work you will need to the entire weekend just to see everything. Not only that they always book a great variety of celebrity guests to do signings and do photo ops. I've have been there twice now and I look forward to going again. Awesome con also have well placed areas for their table top games and arcade games...yes ARCADE games!! I found that to be totally epic. They still have console games as well which made the variety much better. I also found a lot of amazing cosplays while I was there. I mean a LOT! That's one of the reasons why I go to all sorts of conventions year round. If you have the time and save up a good amount of money..make the trip. You will not be disappointed in the least! Awesome Con gets a 9/10.

Another convention that hits the 3 year mark is right here in the Hudson Valley. This convention borders on the small-medium size compared to others so It's just the right size. I always have fun at this event and the fact its so close to me is a bonus. They have more than enough to keep you busy with the vendors and artists however the placements are a bit confusing. With limited space its hard to seperate vendors and artists to the celebrity guests. Another slight drawback is that the vendors that attend have limited selections of merchandise, so if you're really looking for something in particular you might have some trouble. Those are really the only issues with this con. I love the gaming area because its perfect for attendance that goes. The cosplay contest is well put together and everyone is filmed and noticed which is very fair. I enjoy the panels because they are scheduled properly and easy to find. The food available is amazing and very reasonably priced. This 2 day event is definitely worth going and the ticket prices are very fair. It's another con perfect for newcomers. Hudson Valley Comic Con gets a 7/10.

I've been to East Coast Comic Con a few times and even though I enjoy every con I attend, This one was a bit lacking. Overall I did have a good time but I felt the con could of done better. They had a great selection of vendors but the artists were not in huge demand. I did see a lot of amazing cosplays but a few of them where more about showing off (which isn't a bad thing either)rather than having fun with other cosplayers. The cosplay contest was a little different than others I've been in not to say it's a bad thing but they don't really give you enough time to show a little role play. That in my opinion needs some work. They had a small amount of celebrity guests that were not mentioned on their website so attendees would come unprepared which can be a let down. Enough negativity because I did have a good time. Like all other cons they have panels, video games, table top games and so on. If you choose to attend this con tread with a little caution and do your homework to see what guest is attending. I'm not saying you won't have a good time because everyone's experience is different, just be prepared. East Cost Comic Con gets a 6/10

Brooklyn Comic Con (formally Borough Con) is a brand new  re-branded convention. The convention room floor was very limited and to be honest there wasn't much to hold your attention. The only good thing about the convention as the amazing cosplays and the arcade/gaming section. No cosplays contest, barely any food and no celebrity guests. The vendors that attended were ok but you could see the entire floor in 30 min...1 hour if you took your time. They need more work and a better budget if they want to keep having more conventions. Also there was a issues with a fraud vendor at the event scamming peoples emails or something to that affect. Not a good start. Brooklyn Comic Con gets a 2/10.

The very first convention I attended! They best part of the con was meeting Adam West. There isn't much to say about this con. In a very small location there wasn't much to do or see. They usually have smaller celebrities and some WWE wrestlers attended like Kevin Nash. The vendors are ok but not like most conventions. I'm really not the type to slam events like this but I just have to be honest. I went only 1 year and found it to be just the same as the first time I went the following year later. Not too many cosplayers to even have a good contest. I hate to say this but this is not a con to go to unless you have nothing better to do. Honestly...save your time and money. Big Apple Comic Con gets a 3/10

The Great Philadelphia Comic Con is almost on par with NYCC. However the convention center and the event itself isn't as big NYCC or San Diego CC, however that doesn't mean it's a show you should miss. Plan accordingly...this convention will have your mind blown. With so much to see and do plan on staying the weekend. Just like the big boys (NYCC & SDCC) this convention has all the fun of your typical convention. Cosplay contests, video games, table top gaming and so on...The only thing that bothers me is the location. As good as the con is it just seem not to be able to hold with the bigger con can. Not that this con is small in any means. Trust me you go there and you will have a blast but I felt wanting more. However like I've said before everyone has a different con experience. I give The great Philadelphia Comic Con a 7/10.

OK anime fans it's your turn. One of the elite Anime conventions has moved to Atlantic city. AnimeNext is the 4th biggest con for anime fans. The con is just like any other con like before but it's more focused on Japanese anime characters than your usualy pop culture characters. That doesn't stop people from attending and dressing up as whoever they want. The new convention center that now hosts AnimeNext is huge compare to the last one. Before all the special events where in different hotels around the center. This time they can fit everything all in one place which is much better off. As always you have panels, game rooms, the dealer room but it's more focused on the artist alley then collectables (that doesnt mean there isnt a lot of stuff to buy in terms of toys and such). One of the best events is the night time rave dance and are you a werewolf game. Definitely something to check out. AnimeNext gets a 7/10

Now this con took me by surprise. I had one of my best experiences here! There way so much to do that when the weekend was over I didn't want to leave because there was stuff I didn't get a chance to do. That's how awesome it was. Everyone I met including staff was very nice and helpful. The dealer room was really impressive that I wish i had more money to spend. The celebrity guests that attended was very well thought out. They booked some great names and was happy I got to meet the ones I met. This is a con worth investing into going. Between the panels available, dealer room, photo shoots...I could keep going. Honestly look into the con! I give Rhode Island Comic Con 9/10

OK I will admit this is a convention I haven attended yet. I am planing to go this year after NYCC. From what I gather from the website it appears to be a smaller convention. With limited names on the guest list I do not know what to expect from this event. If you're interesting in going to this show check out their website for more info. More to come soon. No rating yet.

This convention which is in its 5th year was totally awesome! There were some drawbacks but usually the smaller conventions always do. The only real issue was the lack of celebrity guests booked but that was probably a money issue. Its also a great con for newcomers to more veteran con goers with it's own decently sized dealer room. I found a bunch of great stuff there so in terms of available merchandise I was definitely satisfied. Not to mention this particular event does 2 cons a year. One in the spring and one in the fall. Saratoga Comic Con gets a 7/10.

This is another convention that I have located. I was unable to go in time for the 2019 show. It will have to wait until 2023 before I can give my opinion on the convention and a overall rating.

One of the biggest anime conventions in the US. Katsucon never disappoints. The convention center doubles as a hotel so it makes the stay that much easier. With a killer dealer room and artist alley, your wallet will definitely hate you after this trip. Well worth the travel and hotel stay. Unique cosplayers, a well set up game room and lots of event make Katsucon one of the most anticipated events of the year. Katsucon gets a 9/10
Now every convention is usually alike, however this one caught me by surprise. Meaning I was very please on how well the convention was set up. Nothing was confusing, everything was in a well placed sense of order, there was enough room to move around and was a pleasant experience overall. This con is just as close to being on par with NYCC with how well it was put together. There was always something to do and someone to see. I would greatly recommend this con to both new and veteran convention goers. ConnectiCon gets a 9/10.

This was one of the more bigger conventions than most. Well setup and easy to find what your're looking for. The only downside to this convention was getting there. If you live more than an hour away the drive will be dragged out because of the heavy traffic. However the convention was worth the travel. Lots of good vendors and great booking of celebrity guests. I don't know if there was a cosplay contest because I only went the one day. They use wristbands for the con and I firmly believe that all cons should use badges because its easier to come and go and would be cost effective. Overall I enjoyed myself at this con and would recommend it. Eternal Con gets a 7/10.

Empire State Comic celebrates its second year. I was happy to make this my season opener for conventions. However the con to me was very small. The dealer room was organized well but there wasn't to much to offer. There was a great selection of vendors and guests but with a small dealer room you could literally see everything in about an hour or so. The cosplay contest was well put together but they need work on class determination for cosplay levels. I would encourage those who are just starting to attend conventions to make this a perfect choice. Empire State Comic Con gets a 6/10

The convention had a very small amount of vendors, artists and attractions to keep a audience from 10am-4pm. With only a small amount of cosplayers to keep the guests amused the only real draw to this event was the cosplay contest. Unfortunately the contest was held at 3pm, only 1 hour before the con would be over. Now I can't complain too much because the con had a free admission which is nice, however it was very far from being a true comic con. Hopefully in the future they can find a better venue and get a bigger budget to have a better and bigger event. I would definitely recommend this con for those who are just starting out, but not for regular con goers unless you want to enter their cosplay contest. It is a good venue for starting out artists and vendors who are debating to becoming regulars for comic and anime conventions or expos. Electric City Comic con gets a 2/10

The first show of this convention did very well despite the lingering issues with Covid-19. The event brought a lot of amazing vendors with very diverse products and had a impressive lineup of guest stars and artists.

Pokemon fans were hyped up knowing that Sarah Natochenny was part of the guest lineup. She is the current voice of Ash Ketchem of pokemon and is an amazing person. showing that this convention had some star power. The venue and show was a small/medium size convention which is perfect for new convention goers and cosplayers to attend.

Mid-Hudson Comic Con is also promoted by the sane show runner as Saratoga Comic Con. Which explains a lot because the Saratoga show is organized very well and provides a place for everyone to enjoy themselves and has something for everyone who attends. I am looking forward to the next event for the Mid-Hudson show. Mid Hudson Comic Con gets a 7/10.

This NJ convention is more focused on the sale and appreciation of Toys. Now to most convention goers that isn't usually a problem. Overall I had a decent time at the event. The people were very nice, the travel wasn't long at all and the vendors had a lot to offer. The event also allowed cosplays and even had a discounted rate for those who dressed up which was very generous. However almost all attendants who showed up did not cosplay at all for the three day Toy convention. It was a little upsetting that I was the only person who dressed up for the event, however the show is more focused on Toys and collectibles than cosplay. Though they had no objection on cosplay it would been more nice for others to dress up as well. With most conventions being cancelled due to COVID I thought more cosplayers would jump at the chance to go in costume.
With the location, the size of the event was much bigger than I had thought it would be. The Wayne Police Athletic League Center seemed like a small venue only because it's also used as a local toy show held there every month, however they opened more space and was happy to see they could accommodate for more vendors.
Overall I had a great time attending this convention and was happy that the event could still take place with current events still looming over us. I'm looking forward to next years show, though I would like to see more happening with cosplay. This convention is perfect for the entire family, new convention goers and toy collectors of any level.

I was very happy to attend this show! Derpycon is a small but very well organized anime themed convention over in New Brunswick, NJ. The staff was very welcoming and there was a nice amount to offer the guests who were able to go. The event took place in the Hyatt Regency hotel which I have been to many times before and enjoyed my stay. Having a convention in a hotel was a very smart idea. The guests who attend do not have to travel far and can easily go back to their rooms to relax with ease. The show offered a nice sized dealer room, manga library, top top gaming room, video game lounge and panel rooms. The cosplay guests were very professional and the show had a nice selection of celebrity guests. This 3 day event has a lot to offer and a great way to make new friends. DerpyCon gets a 8/10.
